Sex Worker Mother

Six women of different ages, from different backgrounds and social classes, experience motherhood in different ways, while supporting their families through prostitution in Rio de Janeiro. Following these women's daily lives over ten months – their work, family, health, education and leisure - we present a plurality of experiences and perspectives, highlighting the importance of prostitution in their lives and the fact that as mothers, they demystify the stigma and taboo historically associated with sex workers.
